A water rocket is a type of model rocket using water as its reaction mass. The pressure vessel (the engine of the rocket) is constructed from thin plastic or other non metallic materials (usually a used plastic soft drink bottle) weighing 1,500 grams or less. The water is forced out by compressed air. It is an example of Newton's third law of motion.

This must be "launcher week" on the Water Rocket Forum, 'cuz we got several great designs up here now. I really like this model because it's made from common parts and doesn't need any special tools to put together a really good looking pad.

I think that a good presentation is important because sometimes I think people new to rockets are more likely to get interested if the hardware looks nice.
