Altimeter exception

Hi, I have a question. Do we really have to use logging altimeters for all competitions? Because some countries are not selling any altimeters, including the PH. I really wanted to break the current Class B record, but because I haven't found any local online stores that sells the latter, I couldn't beat the record. How about using the traditional trigonometric altimeter (protractor)? At least we have solid proof on the altitude measurement. Well a video camera can reinforce the altitude measurement.

Margin of error: more or less 30 feet.

Sorry but Class A, B, and E require use of a logging altimeter, Class D requires a "peak altimeter". Class C (flight duration) requires NO altimeter.

Okay then. I'll try my best to find a cheap logging altimeter online. How about the HK bluetooth logging altimeter?

That would probably work. We require mass produced altimeters that any team can purchase. If you can purchase it online and it logs altitude vs time which can be graphed, you should be ok using it.

The JL AltimeterThree would be acceptable.
