Why did they make them thick like that?

Why did they stop?

they used it again so they were cheaper.
But coca cola said that it costed too much money so they started to recycle them.
that's why they stopped.
And they made them so thick because if u use it and use it again it would easily break. Or damage.
(sorry for my bad english)

The bottles where made out of 1 layer thick PET.
Coca cola had the strongest bottles. They burst at 15 or 16 bar!
I stil have 3 old coca cola bottles. But my launcher only accept the old Spa bottles. The old spa botles can wearstand pressures of 14 bar.
And i spliced a lot of spa bottles. They are so eazy to work with. But the new weak bottles sucks. They burst way to soon. And they are to light and you can sqeeze them way to eazy. Hardly no splice will bring 2 of that weak bottles to getter. Maybe the robinson couple.

What kind of bottle is a "spa" bottle? Is that a carbonated beverage like coke or pepsi? I remember seeing another dutch water rocketeer that mentioned "spa" bottles often and I always wondered what they were. I have not seen him for a few years. I wonder if he stopped making wrockets when they made weak bottles?
