Welcome to the water rocket forum! :W
This type of bottle is not suitable for a water rocket which consists of multiple bottles because the bottle type has patterns molded into the sides.
Also it isn't enough think walled and would explode if you pressurise it.
The idea to make three segments is good because it allows you to replace a single segment in case something goes wrong.
The connectors you searching for are called "Tornado Tubes".
I highly recommend you to use the forum search function, there are thousands of great tutorials out here which explain every detail.

This tutorial, for example, explains the construction of a two meters large water rocket, including a suitable launcher and a parachute system:
http://www.wra2.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=46&t=2691
Also you will find some easy understandable drawings and some information about the launch preparations there.

I wish you good luck and much success! :)

Howdy, welcome to the forum!

So not to fill your head with crazy ideas, but here's how I splice those curvy coke bottles

tmp_22404-20150104_091314-1798645841.jpg (3.44 MiB) Viewed 23 times
Requires only 1/2" PVC and CPVC, and good bottle caps.

so i managed to get a straight bottles, 1.5 litre.
i think they will fit good, i wanted to ask if a adhesive based on polymer which is not polyurethane (couldn't find one) will be suitable enough to stand the air pressure inside the bottles?
another thing is where can you find these tornado tubes because on construction stores in my country doesn't really seem to understand what are tornado tubes?

one last thing - i wanted to ask if i make the rocket made out of 8 or 10 bottles instead of 6 which will make the rocket longer but will have more capacity for air and water - will it affect the flight or should i just do it by 6 bottles as the tutorial says?

heres a picture of my bottles:

http://up413.siz.co.il/up1/tjm3yjjncwq5.jpg

i also found a bottle with a pretty cool bottle cap that i though i can use as a nose cone for my rocket, here are some pictures on the original bottle:
1. http://up413.siz.co.il/up3/2lmgngjmromz.jpg
2. http://up413.siz.co.il/up3/jm0tdcwyqmty.jpg
3. http://up413.siz.co.il/up2/y2umnt54ndzn.jpg

but when i place it over my water rocket bottles it doesn't really fit:

should i use it or make a nose cone according to the tutorial? or how can i make it fit okay to the bottle?

thanks for the great help and for your time.

These bottles are much better!
I'm not sure about it, but I guess a polymer based adhesive will not work.
I recommend you "PL Premium" from Loctite, you can buy it in any hardware store.
http://www.loctiteproducts.com/p/pl_ca_ ... hesive.htm
You can order Tornado Tubes at Amazon.com
http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss_ ... nado+tubes
I'm from Germany, so I'm not sure if these Tornado Tubes work well.
The nosecone looks pretty interesting, you could use something to fill the space between the cap and the bottle.

Good luck!
