Are you 100% sure you don't want to make something a little more advanced like a "LaunchPad AlTImeter"? Servo Timers like the ServoChron and similar products of that nature have their uses in some situations, but for less than half the price of a commercially produced Servo Timer, you can make a LaunchPad AlTImeter, which is a lot simpler to use because out of the box it has automatic launch detection and automatic servo deploy at Apogee. You don't need to hook up launch detect switches or "break wires" to the rocket, and you don't have to fiddle with simulators to work out and program a time delay with manual buttons or switches. With the LaunchPad AlTImeter, that stuff is all automatic, and like most newer generation technology, it costs less.
