Hi, I got into water rockets mainly because of the restrictions on pyro rockets here in OZ and I was really interested in the construction methods, particularly recovery and photography. I have built a few successful rockets combining the fantastic instructions from both US water rockets and AirCommand here in OZ. I'm an older bloke but this stuff makes me feel like a kid again. Thanks heaps to the water rocket community and the specialist for all the great info.
The rocket pic attached uses a tommy timer and the launch pad is based on a design from Aircommand.
I am currently building recovery systems using US water rockets Launchpad altimeter. Trying them out this weekend.

PS: really looking forward to ThundaDownUnder here in queensland next month. The ceiling has now been lifted to 128,000ft. The will be a water rocket test flight there as well with an est altitude of 1500ft...
