A water rocket is a type of model rocket using water as its reaction mass. The pressure vessel (the engine of the rocket) is constructed from thin plastic or other non metallic materials (usually a used plastic soft drink bottle) weighing 1,500 grams or less. The water is forced out by compressed air. It is an example of Newton's third law of motion.

G'day ya'll

Just found this site and it has rekindled a passion from my youth. I'm an Aussie now living in sunny Florida.
Wow, bottle rocketry has certainly gone high tech since I last played!
I hope to inspire similar feelings I have/had with my nephew who's coming over this weekend. I've downloaded a basic bottle rocket design that we'll build and launch. It should be fun ☺
Anyway, I hope to capture a little bit of the passion I once had, have some fun and maybe even learn a little from ya'll.
Thanks and shoot for the stars ☺

Sorry for malconstructions in my sentences, I am Belgian. And I was never good at making easy sentences.
