A water rocket is a type of model rocket using water as its reaction mass. The pressure vessel (the engine of the rocket) is constructed from thin plastic or other non metallic materials (usually a used plastic soft drink bottle) weighing 1,500 grams or less. The water is forced out by compressed air. It is an example of Newton's third law of motion.

Hello Rocketeers - - 63 years old. Into rc since 1978. Ham Radio, FPV RC - - I built and flew some water rockets before I knew anyone else was doing it. Mainly getting interested again spending time with my Grandsons.

Oldest grandson is in the Cub Scouts and my daughter age 35 is a Cub Scout leader. She has ask me to lead a sort of field day of building, flying and learning about model rocket science and or course safety.

I will start a post soon asking about info as to the best designs and other ideas for my time with the Cub Scouts.

Ricky
