Hi from Barcelona

Post by mirleta »

My name is Salvador Robert age 46 with two 9 years old children.

I came to wrockets from a friend and been caught by them since then.

Still at the basics but wanted to learn as much as possible.

Also I would like to create a Spanish Water rocket School Championship.

So any help will be wellcome.

Kind regards.

Hello and WELCOME!

Tell me, do your children love water rockets as much as you do, or are you the bigger fan and they just come along for the ride?

They enjoy a lot but as children they loose focus easily. Specially if papa does not improve the rockets as expected.

LAUNCHER
********
I have to improve the launcher and dont know which method to use for present & future.

Gardena water hose connector, rubber tap, or O ring with pvc tube ?

Any clue

Thanks

Welcome to the forum

First a couple of questions.
What kinbd of launcher do you presently use?

What kind of materials are available in your area?

I think you need a launcher that can be controlled like the gardenia or a cable tie. "Rubber stopper" type launchers are the easiest and cheapest but you cannot control when the rocket launches (great for having fun but not very useful in competitions).

I know I saw someone made a rubber stopper type launcher but that it had some kind of jaw on it that clamped the bottle neck and held it fast until you released the clamp and then it launched. It's a good idea that nobody really made popular. That's a place where someone could innovate.
