hi from Malaysia

hi guys!

i was inspired long ago, by a fellow WRocketeer in the UK (found his website) back in 2001
i cant seem to recall, but i think he flies with a "clark cable" launcher.
and primarily uses NOAA technique for his parachute recovery.

then got to know Bruce's website and also Gary (from US) site.
got to build a 8 liter rocket (managed to get a friend to buy PL Premium for me) but NOAA doesn't work for me and ended up crashing or open way before burnout. Gosh the frustration!
back then, bottles were nice and straight, and splicing was easy because the bottles have 'steps'.

Now all the bottles are "voluptous" and too curvy, not ideal for WRocketry.
lucky we still have some nice bottles from Tesco soft drinks!

will post progress pics soon :)

nice to know you all!

Welcome to the forum. So Tesco has stores in Malaysia? I did not know that. I assume the UK site you found in 2001 was Paul Grosse's?

Re: hi from Malaysia

hi Steve,

yea i think it's Paul Grosse's. His site has since been extinct.? cant find it now.
yes we have Tesco, Carrefour... used to have Makro (from Switzerland?) but that's taken over by Tesco Malaysia..

i'm trying to find (at least on Facebook) fellow Wrocketeers in Malaysia. i'm even offering the use of my launcher.
