A water rocket is a type of model rocket using water as its reaction mass. The pressure vessel (the engine of the rocket) is constructed from thin plastic or other non metallic materials (usually a used plastic soft drink bottle) weighing 1,500 grams or less. The water is forced out by compressed air. It is an example of Newton's third law of motion.

Need Help With Parts

Post by Maz » Mon Mar 22, 2010 2:35 pm

Hi everyone, I am trying to find a plastic bottle top with hozelock attachment. I can get them for hose to tap, but they are not the same for a 2 Lt plastic bottle. Yes the reason I need one is because I was using a hydro-explorer near a car park and it has stuffed the end of one I had and broken it.

I have tried fleabay etc and can't seem to find one. The rocket kit was made by Maplin but they have now stopped making them.

Thanks in advance for any answers.

Just saw your post of nearly 10 years ago! I just found the Maplin Spare Rocket set of 3 in my loft. Its brand new in box. Do you still require this?

Thanks & regards,
