A bar is a measure of pressure that's used in Europe. It's equal to 1 times the Earth's atmospheric pressure at sea level. So 2 bar is 2x the pressure at sea level. 10 bar is 10 times the regular sea level pressure.Brian wrote:what does bar, splice and shrink in rocket terms mean?

Splice means to join together. This for water rockets usually means to connect two or more bottles together somehow to make a larger bottle for a bigger rocket.
Shrink for water rockets is to heat up a bottle and cause it to contract to make a different diameter or shape. Some people shrink bottles on top of other bottles to make a double thickness bottle for more pressure.
How did I do?
