Need help for simplest stager

I need help for building a multistage rocket, and I have no idea on building the staging mechanism. Gardena stagers are a bit too complicated and I don't have FTC tubing, and please don't mention anything about crushing sleeve mechanisms. Anything simpler? Please tell me step by step. Thanks.

By far the simplest staging mechanism is one made by Anti Gravity Research. http://antigravityresearch.com/interstage_release_mechanism.htm It doesn't get any simpler than this. This is how it fits on your booster: http://antigravityresearch.com/booster_bottle.htm It just goes through a hole in the cap of the sustainer. It has some limitations, but it will give you a 2-stage rocket. Have a look at their site, they have more details.
