No risk, no progress.

This one developed a pin hole leak, from hitting a tree branch, and we had to let it blow. We were finished with fin configs. The hull was an incomplete design anyway. The concussion broke the launcher and shoved the bore onto the launch tube another 2 inches and past a diameter, .200" bigger then the bore ID. lol

I think I find the CATOs just as fascinating as the successful launches. hopefully the damage isn't too bad to your launcher?

What's the new blue goo now?

Blue goo is hot melt holding the HDPE fins.

We decided to tool up another since we liked the sound it made during lauch.
It will be a cleaner, more thorough build, and might be used/incorporated into a final high pressure rocket later.

Those fins look like razor blades made of sharpened metal. Are you trying to kill somebody?

A couple posts up he says "hdpe fins" so assuming that stands for high density polyethylene, not metal.
