I've always used the same amount of PLP for the fillets on my fins. There is also quite a bit of Hot melt glue under those fillets, while still keeping it lightweight.

I've dropped filets and haven't had any problems.

Oh this could be fun. There were all kinds of things we found NASA could stand for back in school. This is what we decided SPEW stood for.
