we are from different countries, but it could be useful to know the maximum pressure that a bottle can hold..
there are some "international" bottle as pepsi, fanta and so on..

national bottle will be accepted too..

so, do you think that it could be useful to do this "bottle list" ??

I think this would be a great idea. I would like to see that the bottles are grouped according to size too. Hey, what if we also list the height, width, and weight?

ok.. i've just known that the bottle i usually use holds up to 14bar (203psi!!)without tape!!

i think that was a lucky event... anyway, i will ask my friend that did the burst test..

Is it a large or small bottle? I know the small ones tend to hold more pressure but never more than about 150! Wow!

it's a 1,5 l bottle.. it is very slim so it is perfect for mono-bottle rockets because they are very slim..

but if you do multi-bottles rockets, this will not be THE PERFECT bottle...

a 4bottles rockets is 1,40metres and it is "only" 6litres.. those ones used by air command water rocket are 2 litres bottles and in the same lenght they have a 8 litres rocket!! (my bottle's diameter is 9cm when it's pressurized, air command's ones more than 11cm!! )

Wow.... that's a lot of pressure! I wonder if the narrow band in the middle of the body is responsible for making it stronger? This is a very interesting topic! I may have to try to make a strong bottle by shrinking a band in the middle.

What would happen if you wrapped some strong wire or rope around the central part? Will it stop the expanding?
