That is a good demonstration video for that type of system. This would be fine for smaller rockets, 8 litres or less. Personally I wouldn't trust this system to a larger rocket. Too much mass riding on a design like that.

I didnt make this though my version is based off of raketfuedrockets and I was strolling through youtube and found this

This kind of system suffer the same drawbacks as all the other "trap door" systems. There are a boatload of little detailed pieces to make and assemble and with a lot of parts there are a lot of places where the parachute can snag or tangle and a lot of places where a malfunction can prevent deployment. It's not a bad idea, and it worked back in the day, but just like the Cathode Ray Tube Television, technology has improved and made things much simpler and reliable.

That video is a great idea, but I as far as I know here in the use you can't have any kinda of metal on the outside of your rocket
correct me if I'm wrong
