History about Water Rockets

Hello Friends
I need some about the history of water rockts. I´m teacher in Brazil and have difficult to found about this. I wait that someone can help me with this...

PET 2 liter bottles came on the scene in1970s but toy companies manufactured water rockets as far back as 1950s. By 1958, Mattel was making the awesome two stage H20 Missile.

The original ones had a metal rod on the pump plunger and the new and super cheap ones used a molded plastic plunger handle with no metal at all and this breaks off if you look at it the wrong way. People must have really low opinions of water rockets if their only experience is with one of the plastic plunger pumps. It's hard to tell from this video if this is a cheap one or a good one.

In Germany many water rocketeers say that this guy is one of the pioneers which made water rocketry what it is today:
