Simulator Accuracy

Post by smremington »

Since you guys are pros at this stuff and I am a definite newbie, I was just curious as to which online simulation is the most accurate. I realize no simulation will give 100% accuracy, but I was just curious as to which one is the "best"?
Thank you.
You guys are the best.

Clifford Heath's Simulator. The oldest living simulator on the web.

Hope that helps.

One more question if you don't mind, How does one calculate a nozzle loss?
Thanks again.

Each rocket has different set of parameters. The best way to predict rocket performance for a particular rocket or component is to fly it and then check what the simulator predicted and adjust till they match. For a nozzle, fly it on a rocket you have the data on. Put a range in the simulator and see what matches.
