Rockets in trees!

Post by Drag_Racer408a »

I have got numerous rockets stuck in trees and was just wondering if anyone had a good idea of how to get them down?

I got one stuck bad and don't think it will come down without a little man power!

Tree removal

Are you stuck in a tree that is alone with open area around it or is the tree clustered with others. How high is it in the tree? The worst case is when the rocket is stuck in a tall tree clustered with other trees. Our "Superman" tree adventure was in the top of a 50 foot pine tree in a dense forest.

It is up about 35 feet and it is a dead tree so there is like no branches on it. It has like no trees around it but i think i have got a idea.

Maybe building a helium ballon type device to grab the rocket and pull it down or something like that.

Tree Removal

Post by U.S. Water Rockets1 »

How about a "roof rake". In the frozen northeast we have so much snow that we have to remove it from the roof of buildings so that the weight doesn't collapse the building. The make these out of Aluminum pipe sections which are assembled together into a long pole which has a snow rake on the end. They can usually reach 30 to 40 feet. The helium won't work as the rocket will be too heavy to lift and even more if the chute lines are wrapped in the branches.

Dead tree = chainsaw
