I connected a garden directly to an coca cola bottle 2 L.
I melted the guide-lines in the coca-cola that allowed to screw the cap.
Then I inserted the gardena by forced rotation like I was putting a cap.
After seeing that fitted nicely I tooked out and put a bounch of super glue around the contact area on the bottle.
Quickly I inserted the gardena by forced rotation.
It worked !
I made this because the usual connection " gardena inserted in perfurated cap " usually blasted...the cap stayed attached but the part perfurated by gardena would blast...
The new method is more faster and reliable.
(...maybe as somebody already invented ?)

Re: Gardena directly into bottle
Hi,
Well you have been beaten to that: http://www.wra2.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=292. But so might I.
I use epoxy instead of super glue. I like it better.
Regards
Soren

Re: Gardena directly into bottle
The bottle caps we have are always stronger than the bottles. It's surprising that your caps would fail like that but perhaps this is due to a different design where you live. The solution you guys have come up with is very clever. Nice thinking!RaZias wrote:I connected a garden directly to an coca cola bottle 2 L.

Hi USWR,
What do you use to glue on those bottle caps? The ones here are of soft PP or similar, and I have found nothing that will stick to them.

I have several glues but the one that I use to attach the gardena was the following:dongfang wrote:Hi USWR,

The part that you need to glue needs to be really dry and irregulares areas
(pourouses zone or the screw area of the bottle)
It really resist the pressure since when I tried with the perfurated cap the part that was glued stayed attached to the bottle...before that it would be spitted out.
Maybe the coca-cola caps in Portugal are weaker...
If you can´t find the glue brand just google for "BRIK-CEN" or "QUADSA".
Anyway I read somewhere that in Europe there is an alternative to the "Premium glue" of the USA. Shame I don´t remember the site.
