Hello everyone.

Please forgive me if I posted in the wrong section, but I have a questions about the simulators.

Would you mind telling me how the simulators are created? What equations are being used? What assumptions are being made?

Also, which simulator would you recommend?

Thank you very much! <3

Nice to see you back.

The original download page was hosted on a different site to Paul's main Compuserve pages (which are now all gone). However the Internet Archive can stilll get you quite a lot of the content, and I found the link to the simulator download page.

http://web.archive.org/web/200801160951 ... wrcmdp.htm

I'm also attaching the zip file here, but you may have to check the page above for instructions.

The new location of this seems to be here: http://grosse.is-a-geek.com/paul/h2orckt.htm
... unfortunately, the download link doesn't work. But that site has some useful information about water rocketry, so it's worth visiting.

There's another very good simulator here: http://www.seeds2learn.com/rocketSoftware.html
The downloads are available for Windows, Mac, and Linux.

And to answer the original poster's question, I have a full mathematical explanation and a Google Sheets simulator available here: https://www.nablu.com/p/water-rocketry.html

I believe my simulator accounts for more factors than any others I have seen, such as the effects of humid air inside the tank, air density due to atmospheric conditions, and choked airflow speed determined by adiabatic cooling changing the speed of sound.
