We left the Solar System!

Post by ptx »

This week we got the confirmation that one of my favourites probes Voyager1 entered interstellar space, it is the first time a man made object left the solar system.
Its hard to imagine the 17 light-hours away from us and that most probably it will be still traveling in the milky way long after our civilisation ends.
It gives us the right sense of our littleness under this huge space-time system.

Don't worry. It's going off to get some alien upgrades and come back in about 200 years to exterminate us!

Keep in mind we had the technology to do this 35 years ago. Our technology now is far more advanced than people realize except the government has been known to suppress it from the public.

We went to the moon about 45 years ago, and learned to do it in less than 10 years. Even with all that info on record, we probably couldn't reproduce that in 20 years time.

and they found out that they expected a interstellar space calm ream and instead found large amounts of electromagnetic fields and massive radiation waves. which is interesting considering the Hubble has continued to find interstellar and planetary nebula bound up and wrapped and warped with huge amounts of magnetic fields, including our own galaxy with an invisible double helix field emanating from the center that resembles quasars but without the gamma ray bursts or visible light projections.
We keep finding planetary nebula and galaxies that resemble molecular B orbitals.

minimally.....
