A water rocket is a type of model rocket using water as its reaction mass. The pressure vessel (the engine of the rocket) is constructed from thin plastic or other non metallic materials (usually a used plastic soft drink bottle) weighing 1,500 grams or less. The water is forced out by compressed air. It is an example of Newton's third law of motion.

Okay well I shot a bird with a shotgun. I used my .50 caliber airgun and put bb's in it and packed a tissue down and fired from 10 feet away. I think it died.

I have been known to knock down a few rabbits and pigeons for the cooking pot with my .22 air rifle.

I'm a bowhunter. Deer and turkey.
Not very successful but hey, lots of quite time spent with nature.

I'm a devoted airgun hunter my self. I got a .22 Benjamin Marauder PCP, I killed hundreds of little tree rats with it.

That's cool. Not long ago, I got a nice 11 pointer with dad's 30-06.

I use steel slingshot ammo in my airguns. Once I took out a squirrel. ProChrono says that the pellet travels at an average speed of 737 fps and I am using 1/4 inch ammunition. I also find fishing weights work well in my big PLG gun. That think could slay and elephant, not really but I'm sure it could kill at 160 psi. Slugs travel almost 800 fps. :cl:
