Northern lights

Post by WRA2 »

According to the news, there is supposed to be a really good display of the northern lights tonight:

If anyone gets any pictures or video, please post them here.

I have always wanted to see the northern lights, the problem is that most of my family lives in the south! I heard somewhere on this forum that Bugwubber is located somewhere in Minnesota, hopefully he will be able to get a glimps and perhaps a video of the show.:-)

Hey guys when I tested my spliced today almost all of them burst at 80 psi. I let them dry for two days twice the recommended 24 hours. can you explain? :yikes:

Your the expert; shouldn't you come up with a reasonable failure conclusion? :-)

Joke aside, where did the splice fail at? If your using the JB Clear weld, there may not be enough strength to keep the splice together. The epoxy does not stick too well to PET plastic unless you really sand down the joints befor gluing them together. The only time to use JB epoxy is to make nozzles, and to do small repairs on the rockets.

No I used PL Premium but even after two days it was still soft. I assume that waiting a week next time would keep me on the safe side. I stopped using JB Weld for splices when I met with something called Pro Line!

How bout a snow filled rocket. Anyone want to post a video of the attempt maybe the snow would just vaporize or something strange like that under high pressure.

Did you follow a tutorial? All tutorials I've read about splicing with PL premium state that you have to let the splice cure for at least five days.

That's probably because you are of little use to him. He knows you're just learning about water rockets, so he doesn't have to pretend to like you so he can use you to share your innovations with him, and he assumes you don't have a website or a vast network of friends that he would want to get himself promoted on.
