A water rocket is a type of model rocket using water as its reaction mass. The pressure vessel (the engine of the rocket) is constructed from thin plastic or other non metallic materials (usually a used plastic soft drink bottle) weighing 1,500 grams or less. The water is forced out by compressed air. It is an example of Newton's third law of motion.

Yeah thanks for the video, SpaceX is a company to watch, they are really going places, great to see they got their Falcon1 finally into orbit. Wait for falcon 9 :) and cant wait for them to do with Falcon9 and their Dragon crew module for $500million what NASA are trying to do with Ares 1 and the Orion capsule, which has already cost NASA $7 billion with at least 6 more years before it flies !

Also take a look at the SpaceX facilities to see how much these guys have invested in producing their Falcon rockets. Elon Mush CEO takes you on a 4 part trip of the facilities.

That's amazing stuff. Very inspiring.

I think once they get it going they will show that the private sector is a lot better at doing this than government is. Too much politics and favoritism and not enough competition!

This one is a little long, but it's really amazing to watch the entire sequence of events.

Ha ha. I bet it's no coincidence that this video resembles a souped-up version of one of your own launch videos! Am I right? It looks awfully familiar! :P
