Need help for simplest stager

I need help for building a multistage rocket, and I have no idea on building the staging mechanism. Gardena stagers are a bit too complicated and I don't have FTC tubing, and please don't mention anything about crushing sleeve mechanisms. Anything simpler? Please tell me step by step. Thanks.

You just eliminated the simplest systems for staging. Anything else is way more complex. You could probably cheat and not use a serial stager at all. A parallel stager would technically qualify. Just make some hooks on the side and attach parallel boosters with a larger nozzle diameter so they fall off while the core is still under thrust. That is often referred to as a 1.5 stage system.
