To trip the timer i use a sturgon hook with the barb cut off. The hook is attached to a a tarp clip. Hang the hook over the swivel loosly an thats it. When you lauch the rocket the hook pulls the swivel away from the timer an it starts winding down. to deploy the deployment system.

Thank you for sharing this. I am looking for good deploy designs that I can build and test while it is cold out!
