Effect Propellants

Hello all
I'm working on a project and I could use some help.
Its more or less water rockets with a twist.
My alt is only 10 to 20 feet
I would like to build a release system "Air/water" to lift light weight foam formers with dry leaves to a alt of 10 to 20 feet.
More or less I need it to make a small mess in the air
no more then a hand full of dry leaves need to go up but.. I would like to make 8 to 10 units launch with only 4 pulls of a string.

Now some back round
I have built a Infra red system that will move 2 servos.
each servo will move 1/4 of a turn after a hit to the move each servo with a total of 4 hits 4 movements to release the effects.
this is to simulate ground attacks. small Foam buildings ect.

For now I could use some vary simple Ideas of how this can be done.
Thanks for your time
Clayton

if you are trying to deploy a payload of leaves 10 to 20 feet high, you could attach a split nosecone to a bottle with strings at the tip of the 2 nosecone halves which sit on the bottle. make sure the rocket is bottom heavy because this would destabilize the rocket and make it flip making the nosecone fall off and split releasing the leaves. i can upload a picture if you want.
what is this for?

I think you could build standard cable tie launchers and connect them all to a single pull string. If you used a fairly heavy weight to pull the release strings, you could make a trigger to drop the weight based on the servo. That way the servo would not have to be very powerful but you could amplify the pulling force by using it to drop a heavy weight.

That's it!
use the servo to pull a pin holding a weight !
3 years and I could not think of that. that is a bigtime help!

The other area I need some advice is to release 2 or 3 or more in sequence. a delay of 1 second without the need of the servo to pull again.
I was thinking about rubber bands. wind them up to hold some type of release pin and when it unloads each one will let go in sequence
I'm thinking about what you just taught me but I think I'm still in overload mode.
thanks again
Clayton

That's a pretty slick idea for force multiplication. If you guys build this design, please post a video and show us all how it works. It seems like a very simple idea that would work very well!

The multi staged release from one servo to save on battery's and air valves to sustain air psi is a little rough but I think a multi servo systems will do it.
straight up.
This will be a mock up Foam village for a combat simulation WWII RC Aircraft
The Idea is to use a RC Bomber set up with Foam drop bomb bay load released over the target village to simulate hits.
Its part of a Combat Simulation Aircraft design called Air2AirCombat.
I will be happy to post what we get everything done
Thanks for the help all
wish us luck

See ya in the sky!

Sometime over the winter We will build a more interesting design now that we know it works!
