Hi All,
Slightly old news but a bit of fun relevant to this forum.

The story was that after UK TV's 'Gadget Show' made something involving beer barrels and a skateboard, they were 'flooded' with 'advice' by 'experts'. They took a couple of these experts to task in a competition. The day was great fun. We used liquid nitrogen to make mysterious smoke. The TV presenter was a bit big for the school's car designed for, well, small boys rather than big men in hobnail boots.
We wheel out the car now and then for special occasions including our annual water rocket challenge http://www.npl.co.uk/waterrockets.
Cheers,
Andrew

A water rocket is a type of model rocket using water as its reaction mass. The pressure vessel (the engine of the rocket) is constructed from thin plastic or other non metallic materials (usually a used plastic soft drink bottle) weighing 1,500 grams or less. The water is forced out by compressed air. It is an example of Newton's third law of motion.
