Those cars should not be that stable. That look too top heavy. How do they keep them upright?RaZias wrote:A video of WRC with vertical bottles

---- Vertical bottle:Adib131 wrote:dear all ,

- They are heavier because they need connectors for each bottle.
- Less aerodynamic
- Less water slosh ? Or not ?
---- Horizontal bottle:
- Lighter (no connection needed) BUT for each bottle the wood pataform needs to be longer so there
is a weight increase.
- More aerodynamic
- Bottles are more prone to blast because they are connected by glue.
- Water may slosh inside the rocket or remain there increasing the weight
(I think only the current WR-Dragster record holder knows the answear)
---- Result:
Maybe the horizontal ones ????

You guys are right. The vertical bottles would really raise the center of gravity and make the car unstable. Think of an SUV compared to a sports car.
