In your video it´s easly shown that the 808 the colors are "washed-out".

I read somehere that if you remove an infra-red filter from a web-cam the colors became washed-out.

It´s it possible that the 808 has a weak IR filter so it makes it more sensible to light ?

Should a better IR filter be added ?

The poor color of this camera is due to the software it uses and has little to do with the IR filter, which the camera already has. You can remove the filter and make the camera more sensitive to IR, which results in some unusual looking images. Any digital camera must make tradeoffs between color reproduction and shutter speed and light sensitivity when it makes a video recording. Some people prefer the colors this camera makes because they like the way it looks, or they prefer the higher light sensitivity the camera produces.

This camera is one of the best ones you can get for water rockets, straight out of the box and unmodified. These cameras are a little fragile and tend to stop working if you knock them around a lot, even though there are no visible signs of damage. Always try and cushion them from crash damage.\.
