MD80 Problem

How come the MD80 cameras seem to have a built-in zoom? Has anyone else noticed this? Is there a way to fix it? Thanks!!!

It is not clear what you are referring to.

If you say "zoom" and you mean that things look closer than they are to your eye, then this is just the way your camera lens is configured and it cannot be changed. The lenses are fixed in one position.

If when you mention "zoom", you are speaking to the way that objects look distorted like a funhouse mirror then this is due to the fact that the MD80 clone fakes 720x480 resolution by stretching a 640x480 image to the wider size when it is saved. They did this to try and make people think the clone had better resolution which it didn't have in reality. You can fix this distortion using a video editing software which can resize a video. You take the 720x480 MD80 Clone video and scale it back to 640x480 and everything is correctly sized.
