A water rocket is a type of model rocket using water as its reaction mass. The pressure vessel (the engine of the rocket) is constructed from thin plastic or other non metallic materials (usually a used plastic soft drink bottle) weighing 1,500 grams or less. The water is forced out by compressed air. It is an example of Newton's third law of motion.

That's very ingenious how you've made the door by wrapping a bottle backwards over the hole. The door acts like it's own spring that way and there's no way for it to get stuck! Nice work.

Thnx!

The door is made of a peace of pet bottle. Just cut a cilindrical shape out of a bottle. Then turn it inside out and screw it to the parachute chamber. Then when u stretch it around the parachute chamber and when you let it go it wil spring back.

I remember finding the website of a Dutch guy who made a deploy system like this. Is that the same one? Is the site still up? Thankyou.
