This is a screenshot from my phone.
Apparently HK now offers a bluetooth transmitter to send data from the altimeter to the android phone.

I have to say the ability to pull down log data in the field is exciting.

I imported an old altimeter file to see how it worked with the app. Interactive charts on my phone!

Anyone using this yet?

Well that depends. The actual cost is under $20 but then there's all that other stuff you cram in to your order to fill up your shipping weight bracket.

Global Warehouse only for now.

Global warehouse sux. My dad purchase a orange tx from them like a dx6i and he ordered the wrong one. He ordered the style number 1 when he wanted humber 2. That one took 4 weeks to arrive, sending it back took 3 weeks. The new one took 4 weeks to arrive. How disappointed we were when the transmitter arrived that Saturday and we could not use it.

That does suck. Something critical like a transmitter, i'd likely not use Global. I haven't had a lick of trouble from Global personally.

I didn't know at the time that anything other than global existed.

It was our fought but it still took way to long from Hong Kong.

Well, showing it shipped out of the warehouse so next month I'll post when it arrives and do a review of it.

The app itself appears to have most of the same functionality as the desktop program. It doesn't appear to remember preferences on measurement settings nor are you able to label the charts with name, location etc.. A service like Dropbox makes file transfers trival.

I'd recommend if you are interested, to download the app to your phone from Google Play and verify it works with your phone before purchasing the bluetooth transmitter. Search for hobbyking.

Unfortunately I don't have a phone, so it wouldn't matter.

You have to be careful and read everything when you go to check out. If you have one or more items in the global warehouse they will ship it all from there unless you specify that you want separate shipping of multiple orders. If you make a mistake, you will have a long wait!

I hardly ever buy from hobby king. I would rather pay the extra $5 bucks on eBay than go through the hassle of Hobby King.
