Looks nice enough, reduced height trigger etc.
Then down at the bottom, "Altimeter Is Not waterproof"

In all fairness, it's hard to make waterproof electronics. The sad part is that you can easily make your own LaunchPad Altimeter for half the price, which has servo deploy and a nice loud speaker.

True and hey at least they were thinking of water rockets. I.think these would be targeted at schools etc. Otherwise 100ft launch alt is easy to attain for a hobbiest.

The LaunchPad Altimeter only needs 10 meters to detect launch. :-)

The new Altimeter 3 from Jolly Logic is pretty nifty, with a nice app and bluetooth. Water Rockets need a deploy function though so yeah the Launchpad is really the only complete answer out there. I do like the logging data I get on the HK altimeter, and optional bluetooth radio though.

All the fancy wireless altimeters in the world turn into a pile of copper, silicon, and fiberglass chunks when they hit the ground because they have no recovery output so they made you use some sketchy parachute deploy system. :saber:
