air tool connetors

does any one know if its possible to use quick release air connecters or are they just to small , ( male nozzle size being to restrictive) and if any one has tried what were the results and how did you manage to connect the male addapter to the bottle , thanks in advance

We compete mainly in the "Class A" competition class which doesn't allow metal parts on the pressurized part of the rocket, so we've never tried a connector like that. Most people make their own non-metallic connectors or use plastic hose connectors instead. The down side to metal connectors is they are pretty heavy and that's bad for altitude, so nobody regrets their exclusion in the rules.

I built one out of nylon...really the hole is not large enuff. After the 1st launch, the nozzle took on some damage. I never rebuilt it though. It just was slow taking off.
