Mmm. You are modest. This is very fine work.alamo wrote:rockets-in-brighton : "Firstly, thank you very much for showing us your progress. Your standard of construction is far higher than I believe most of us could aspire to, so we can only look on and admire."

Yes I found out when I tried to follow your original links from this forum. However, copying & pasting your text into Google Translate works fine (well, as long as I choose 'Slovak' as the source!)alamo wrote: "Perhaps if you reply here we can use Google Translate or Babelfish on your responses."

Jelo: ..looks heavy..
0.14 kg.. complet..
heavy?
care for coefficient of drag, wind tunnel don´t have :P
radial turbine, stable number of revolutions, to various rate of flow.. suffice good eye..
high price - drag..
(axial turbine hypersensitive - lower drag)
coefficient of drag, problem

Re: idea
first flight = crashtest
gallery : http://www.papirove-modely.cz/galerie/i ... mage=54659
abruptly high rotation speed, more than 23/sec.
expectant max. number of revolutions 12/sec.
(+ g-force) destroy clutch within timer.. turbine it needs speed reducer
rockets-in-brighton : "Firstly, do you know what airspeed would be equivalent to the air jet applied in the demonstration?
Have you been able to model the behaviour under anything like the characteristics of a typical water rocket launch, ie very strong acceleration for a few 10ths of a second followed by constant deceleration?"
just now find in situ.. in-flight..
zetez : "I have an idea with similar windmill."
alike.. as sure as T.D.E, it is necessary reducer..

I'm sad to hear that. I hope the next attempt brings better luck.alamo wrote:first flight = crashtest

At least you have a good idea of where to make adjustments. The rotation speed is amazing, can you fit a larger coaxial pulley in the space available?
Also, Do you have some rockets data (weight, launch pressure etc) so we can run some simulations for the launch, and so get an idea of what conditions applied?

..(weight, launch pressure etc)..
rocket volume 1.5l
water volume 0.5l
pressure 500 - 550 kpa (assessmesnt.. difficultys T-connection air pressure gauge)
nozzle size 9mm
bottle diameter 87mm
dry mass 140g
apogeum (assessmesnt) 30m
distance blastoff - impact 40m
trajectory cyclical
light wind

Excellent work on the build. Keeping it light is the key to success! You do great work!alamo wrote:Jelo: ..looks heavy..

Re: idea
I've tested this idea and it doesn't work. Force of air during a flight isn't enough to pull out a parachute by a windmill.zetez wrote:My english isn't good so the image below will explain delaying the pulling of the parachute.
