I have a few questions now that I've seen the device operating. Apologies if these are answered in the linked pages, but I've been unable to apply a satisfactory translator to them. Perhaps if you reply here we can use Google Translate or Babelfish on your responses.
Firstly, do you know what airspeed would be equivalent to the air jet applied in the demonstration?
Have you been able to model the behaviour under anything like the characteristics of a typical water rocket launch, ie very strong acceleration for a few 10ths of a second followed by constant deceleration?
Finally, there was a short delay before the line attached to the bottle cap was shortened, how is the delay controlled, as it looked as if a cord was being wound continuously off a bobbin; I couldn't see the mechanism that converted that motion into a sudden trigger.

Tento projekt je stále vey zaujímavé. Po prvé, děkuji moc za ukazujúci nám svoj pokrok. Vaša štandard stavby je oveľa vyššia, ako som presvedčený, že väčšina z nás mohol ašpirovať na, a tak môžeme len pozerať ďalej a obdivovať.
Mám teraz pár otázok, ktoré som videl, prevádzkové zariadenia. Ospravedlňujem sa, ak sú odpovede na odkazovaných stránkach, ale ja som bol schopný uplatňovať uspokojivým prekladateľ na ne. Možno, že keby ste odpoveď tu môžeme použiť Google Translate alebo Babelfish na Vaše odpovede.
Po prvé, viete, čo rýchlosť by sa rovnalo prúdom vzduchu používané pri demonštrácii?
Bol ste schopní model správania za niečo vlastnosti typické spustenie vodné rakety, tj veľmi silné zrýchlenie na niekoľko 10ths druhej nasleduje konštantný spomalenie?
Napokon, tam bol krátku odstup pred riadok spojené s uzáverom bolo skrátené, ako je kontrolovaná meškanie, ako to vyzeralo, ako keby bola šnúra by mala byť ukončená trvalo vypnúť paličkovanie, som nevidel, že mechanizmus, ktorý prenáša pohyb do náhlej spúšť.

This looks like an interesting concept. Another idea that comes to mind from looking at this which would potentially be more effective for water rockets would be to create a sealed rocket and use a flywheel to store the energy you use for deploy. The idea of winding a cord with a spinning mass could translate into a really reliable timer.
The principal would be to crate a spinning flywheel with a friction clutch perhaps made from a rubber disk. The clutch is held open mechanically by a pin or something on the launch pad. You spin up with flywheel with a motor on the launcher or a compressed air impeller. When the rocket launches, the flywheel engages on the clutch and s winding cord or a series of reduction gears acts as a timer to pull the chute release.
The flywheel would also act as a gyro to stabilize the rocket. You could reduce spinning or help with stability with a flywheel. Sidewinder missiles use small gyros on the end of fins they actually use small paddles to spin the gyros and those control the angle of the fins to stabilize the rocket.
There's a lot of unexplored ideas that stem from this.

The only thing I don't understand from your drawing is what delays the parachute from getting pulled out the instant the windmill starts to turn. What do you do to delay the pulling of the chute?zetez wrote:I have an idea with similar windmill.

It's easy - I will get a string longer than the way from the parachute's compartment to the windmill. For example: the way between the parachute's compartment and the windmill is 10 cm. So I will get a string 20 cm long. Those extra 10 cm will delay the pulling of the chute, for example for about 2 seconds.Tim Chen wrote:What do you do to delay the pulling of the chute?
