Does anybody already tried to make a parachute deployement system from those coocking clocks instead of a tommy timer ?
Like those that have a shape of an egg and you twist them so they will start rotating until they ring to say the coocking is ready.

Re: coocking clocks instead of a tommy timer ?
Main downside I can think of is that they are made to work on the scale of minutes rather than seconds so don't know how reliable they would be for short periods. Not very inexpensive, and the clockwork mechanisms are quite heavy. Please do try and report back.RaZias wrote:Does anybody already tried to make a parachute deployement system from those coocking clocks instead of a tommy timer ?

as mentioned above, their made for counting minutes, if not hours, also, they have a built in bell or speeker, which is heavy, furthermore, they are often way bigger and heavier than just a tomy timer
but i guess it would work
