Can you explain what they anti-binding rods are for? I can't picture how the rubber bands would bind on the timer. Does it cause the timer to stop turning?

the anti binding rods are to keep the rubber bands from binding on the timer. They are made of shishkabob stick or you can ues just about anything really.

I understand it now, the rubber band can coil up around where the shaft comes out and create friction against the side of the servo next to the shaft. Your guides make the rubber band wind up some distance from the hole and therefore it can't pinch between the shaft and the side. Thanks for the tip!

How did you mount the Tomy timer to the bottle?

dwrrule has always been very good at designing and building new ideas. This is a design that we highly recommend to new people who inquire about deploy systems.
