Hello Villamany,
Happy to hear you again. How does your dump compares to mine ? Are they strictly identical ? If not, could you send it to me ?
Thanks,

The work we owe it to Philippe and all those who participated in his blog. They did the same way for a similar camera.

Awesome work! I knew that this was possible when I saw the bitmapped fonts in the dump! Thanks for proving this out! Nice!!!

Philipe hack his gumpack camera and i hack my MD80 clone camera, they are very similar. The MD80 needled firmware (original with transparent fonts) is posted on my message.

Look above this reply, in this same thread: the post by villamany detailing the process of extracting, editing and rewriting the firmware. At the end of that post are some files attached, these are zipped binaries of the original and amended firmware. All the information you need is there. You will also require suitable hardware and software to write the amended firmware image to the camera.
Here, this link jumps straight to the beginning of that post:

thx!
but i thought that there is an easier way of flashing the camera...
any way, thank you very much...
buy the way, i heard that there is a problem when you let the camera shoot until the battery drains and die?
did any one encountered this problem?
and another thing, can anyone measure the size of the battery? i think that there are bigger (mAh) batteries in the same size.. so that way you can shoot for more hours.
thanks.

My original MiniDV MD-80 came with the silicone sleeve. The first clone I bought came with no sleeve and no USB cable. I used the sleeve from the original MD-80 on that one. The second clone DID arrive with a sleeve and a cable and a bunch of mounting hardware too.

Mine kills batteries if I let them run down too much. I tried a larger battery and it runs longer but I don't think the charger circuit is strong enough to fill the larger battery. My replacement battery is 400mA/hr and the camera never shows a full charge no matter how long I leave it charging.
I forgot what the original battery was rated for, so I can't say.

battery fits inside the camera?
You could say the measures of height, width and length?
where did you get? I have searched and found none with the right measures.
thanks...
