Hi,
Here is my old Starfighter water rocket projcet, finally made flyable with bottle (5 * 0.5 l, about 1.8 l maybe) and all.
It launches pretty vertically and then pitches on to its back. And .... it has the same handling problem as the early jet fighters: Inertia coupling! When trying to roll it over, the nose will pitch up sharply, becuase the axis of gravity goes from somewhere below the tail to above the nose.
It glides like a dead fish, but at least it provides a kind of recovery system.
Next thing will be to make it go much higher, so I can have some time to learn flying it. I have a much fatter bottle in the works for it...
Regards
Soren

Good luck with the higher altitude flights. This is a really nice looking design. I want to see you get it going!
