here is a link for the launch of my Dauntless I rocket. Now I need to make a better guide rail for vertical instead of a horizontal flight.

Looks good, Mike. What kind of splice did you use? Seems quite heavy for a 4L...

It is Robinson Coupled with a threaded lamp rod. I have made a new guide rail (4ft) tall and should stop any flexing. Hoping to test the new guide rail with a launch tomorrow. What would a good weight be for this type of rocket?

No, I don't think it is too heavy, I was just trying to work out the construction: 4 L spliced from 1 L bottles or 2 x 2 L with a metal robinson couple, ... The weight made it hard to guess

Steve,
The rocket was two 2L bottles coupled with a metal Robinson coupling. The new guide rail on the rocket launcher worked very well and gave a vertical flight. However, the parachute stuck inside the door and did not deploy. The rocket is a total loss. Now I have a reason to start a new rocket!
