Guide Rail Lugs Question

I was wondering where to put my guide rail lugs on my rocket. It seems like if they are below the CG the rocket will lead them, and if they are above the CG they will lead the rocket but it could get twisted. The launcher is made from a sliding door track instead of a pole. It is much stronger this way. From the top it is like this:

The format was messed up. So I guess you will have to go off of the description!

Guide rails are useless. Don't waste your time unless you are making a really flimsy rocket with no boost. Why people think they need them is baffling. Our research has shown them to be unnecessary.

They also complicate the rocket and launcher design and are potential hazards in the event the rocket explodes!
