Nice find! I got emotional watching the landing and may have teared up a bit. I had no idea that was possible.
It must use a lot of fuel in arresting the descent. Thinking a bit, I wonder why recovery chutes are not steerable like modern personal parachutes. They would greatly reduce the required fuel, I think.
