If the dummy is realistic in mass then we have some proof that the water rocket motor can really lift off a human being like they tried to prove on the muthbusters show.

I once made the calculation about the force necessary to lift an human weight, it seemed that you needed 5 US-water-rockets to rise 2 meters !!!

You mean the record setting rocket would lift an average man less than half a meter into the air? That's pretty weak!

That's exactly why I couldn't fathom what the jet plane guy was smoking. His numbers just didn't add up.

Has anyone seen the clip of the TV show from Asia (I do not know what country) where someone showed a water rocket powered chair that lifted a man? They gave the exact maths to show how it worked.
