An easy question (hopefully...)

Hi there!

Hopefully a quick an simple question. I run water rocket challenge activities for children and we use pretty standard water rockets eg. http://www.eurocosm.com/Application/ima ... ket-md.jpg

The green connector bit (looks like a hozelock garden hose connector) is what I'm looking to find replacements for. These are not the same thread as the hozelock connectors. Does anyone know where to get some that directly attach to standard drinks bottles (eg coke).

I did find a batch of these about a year ago but I'm now running out and it would be amazing if anyone could help. I use them for teaching chidlren about science http://www.sublimescience.com and would really like to keep the water rockets going!

Can't help with the nozzles - perhaps you need to shift to a custom launcher so you are not dependent on propietary nozzles. The forum could help you there.

We have a design for a launcher on our website (waterrockets.multiply.com) that you can build very easily and inexpensively. The advantage of this launcher is that it uses the full open mouth of a bottle for the nozzle, so there's no need for a screw on nozzle or any modifications to the bottle. Our design is based on the Clark cable tie launcher design.

Hi Marc,

Here in Oz there is a similar commercial launcher to the one you provided a link to. (available from Jaycar) http://www.jaycar.com.au/productView.as ... rm=KEYWORD They also sell packs of 3 rockets. The order code for the 3 pack is: GT-3602.

I am pretty sure the nozzle types are identical to what you are looking for. They fit a standard bottle and also fit to a standard plastic hose connector. You may be able to order online from them. The seals they come with are a little dodgy so you may need to replace those.
