how exactly does it work....do you pressureize the 2nd stage then hook it up to the main stage and then when the first stage is complete the mechanism to the second stage becomes released?
whats the easiest mechanism setup to do?
whats gardena and where can i get it?
what are cable tie launchers? is it something for a 2nd stage?

Usually pressurization is done to both stages simultaneously. It is not recommended to handle a pressurized rocket EVER! You could be seriously injured or even killed!
The easiest mechanism for staging is called a "crushing sleeve"
Gardenia refers to "quick connect fittings" that are made for garden hoses (Use non metallic ones)
Cable tie launchers are made using "zip ties" which can be fastened to a pipe in a manner which can hold the rocket in place.
Please use the search function to gather examples of all of the above.

Re: looking to do a 2 stage rocket
im not really understanding how both can be presserized at the same time..
so like is one 4l rocket pretty much going to give the same results as two 2l stages for the rocket?

Usually a one way valve is used to keep the pressure in the upper stage from escaping until staging occurs. The valve will let air in from the bottom stage but not out until staging is actuated.happy wrote:im not really understanding how both can be presserized at the same time..
