Hi, all:

I'm a brand new member. Have my first water rocket under construction. Joined to get some tips, and to get off to a good start. This looks like fun.

Hi Frank, the best tip to start off with is to add nose weight for stability and hight.

Hi, Brian:

Thanks for the reminder. I'll be sure to do that. I used to fly radio controlled airplanes (and dabbled with heli's) so I know a fair amount about center of gravity issues and their effects on flight characteristics. Once had a bi-plane (short fuselage) which required about 9 ounces of lead fishing weights glued into the cowling to get the C.O.G. forward enough, and it was STILL twitchy to fly!
